A little about Dr. Tolulope Kolawole
Dr. Tolulope Kolawole, PMHNP-BC, DNP “Dr. Tolu” has 18 years of practice experience specializing in mental health. Dr. Tolu is a Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in New Jersey, New York, and Texas. She graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She later graduated from Fairleigh Dickson University with a Master of Science degree in Nursing. She further received a Doctorate degree in Nursing from Chatham University in Pennsylvania.
She focuses on exemplary patient outcomes by utilizing evidence-based practice In her treatments. She also focuses strongly on listening to, addressing patient concerns, and answering all questions in terms that patients can easily understand. She exhibits the willingness to work with all members of the clinical team and listen to their suggestions and inputs to improve results and maximize patient satisfaction.
She specializes in working in diverse settings such as crisis centers, outpatient and partial psychiatric programs. She also works with adolescents and adults suffering from depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and substance abuse issues. Her goal is to integrate evidence-based practices and holistic approaches to treatment. She does this by incorporating psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and alternative treatment strategies for her patients’ mental health care plans according to their individual needs.
